Crocs™ Shoes “Catching” On Among Anglers

In 2002 a new phenomenon in the shoe industry started to take the world by storm. Originally intended for the boating and outdoor enthusiast, Crocs soon found a place throughout the world as a cool, unique and functional shoe for many genres. I have been personally wearing a variety of Crocs for several years now and have seen a tremendous amount of anglers starting to take notice and experience the benefits these shoes have to offer.
Crocs utilize a material called Croslite™ which is a proprietary closed cell resin. The material is neither plastic nor rubber and has unique benefits such as its anti-microbial property that virtually eliminates odor. The material also has extraordinary impact absorbing qualities to provide maximum cushioning.
One of the other benefits I am certainly thankful for is the fact that the soles are non-marking and their superior gripping power makes them great to wear out in the boat. As anglers we spend a tremendous amount of time standing in one position and operating a foot controlled trolling motor, so having a secure, stable and comfortable shoe aids in eliminating fatigue and a myriad of other foot related problems.
Along with the current models I wear, the Hydro and Axle, Crocs is now making a specific boating shoe called the Ace Boating. This great new model addresses some of problems currently faced when wearing traditional
sneakers or footwear. The sleek non-marking rubber outsole provides excellent wet traction, and the superior grip works great on all urban surfaces from concrete to asphalt.
The Ace Boating features outsole grooves that channel water away, ventilation ports and drainage holes that keep your feet dry, while the adjustable turbo strap hugs the heel enhancing stability and performance. As with all Crocs footwear, the Ace Boating is constructed of Croslite™ material, creating a shoe that is comfortable, ergonomic, odor resistant, lightweight, and one that conforms to your foot, creating a customized fit.
So, if you have never had a chance to wear a pair of Crocs or already have treated your feet to some…try out the new Crocs Ace Boating shoe. You will be pleasantly surprised!
