EDITOR'S LOG

With the August moon rising later this week, keep your ears
perked to pick up casual reports of big bass being caught
over this weekend. An uptick in big bass landed on the
August full moon is a subtle phenomena I've observed over
the years.

Better yet, stop toying with the dinks. Bulk up your baits
and dedicate some time exclusively to big bass yourself this
weekend.

If you need some motivation to psyche yourself up, I've got
it right here for you:

Please enjoy, and don't forget the camera, a big one!

BLASTS FROM THE PAST...AND PRESENT

The nice thing about having a three year old weekly news
edition is that we can look back to this same week in
earlier years...for some timely tips today.

Here's an article from this same week last year, August 19,
2001:

SUMMER TACTIC: FAST-MOVING PRO-JO SENKO SHINERS
http://www.insideline.net/articles/projo-senko.html

Here's another from this same week two year ago, August 14,
2000:

FISHING DEEP SUMMER POINTS WITH JIGS by Russ Bassdozer
http://www.insideline.net/articles/summer-points.html

The mid-August tips in these articles apply just as much for
2002 as 2001 and 2000. Why not give them a try, eh?

Not to bury our heads in the nostalgic sands of the past,
here's a fresh new article just written for you for August
2002:

FISHING DEEP Summertime Remedies by Margie Anderson
http://www.bassdozer.com/articles.shtml

Margie's latest article features tips to try pre-rigged
double-hook worms to thwart tepid tail pullers that just
don't grab the whole worm at this time of year, plus tips by
Gary Dobyns you'll not want to miss...on fishing deep!

Please enjoy!
